Who we are

Onda Events was founded by Aspen Ashworth out of a deep passion for both event planning and the nonprofit sector. After earning an MSc in Business Strategy, Leadership, and Change, Aspen combined years of experience in donor and stakeholder development with a lifelong love for creating meaningful gatherings.

Having planned everything from intimate cocktail receptions to large-scale galas, Aspen saw firsthand the resource gap nonprofits face when organizing impactful events. Limited staff and high-cost event firms often make it difficult for organizations to execute their vision. Onda Events was born to bridge that gap, offering specialized event planning that is both accessible and mission-driven.

The inspiration for the name Onda—meaning wave, ripple, or vibe—came during a conversation in Mexico about the need for impactful yet accessible event services. Just as a single wave can create endless ripples, Onda Events exists to amplify the work of nonprofits, ensuring their events leave a lasting impact on their causes, communities, and supporters.

When Aspen isn’t bringing meaningful events to life, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband.
